1) Assassin -Because it challenges me how to keep myself alive and the hit and run tactics
2) Monk -Because I like to smite and to play support and be the target of almost everyone. Again its a challenge how to keep myself alive
3) Mesmer -Because I can play with my opponent's health, energy and skills and like the above keeping myself alive is fun

My Mesmer is definitely my favorite character by far.
My Ritualist is my second favorite character, though I haven't really got to playing him a lot yet.
And those are the only two characters I have. So they're both my favorites.

1) Necromancer -- Goth outfits (Please, please, please make bonelace inscribable!), undead minions to do your will, the ability to suck the life out of someone... What's not to like?
2) Elementalist -- It was a lot funner to play an Ele before they got nerfed into oblivion and then some (even the recent rise, and soon to come inevitable nerf again into oblivion, hasn't really brought them anywhere near to their former glory), but they're still fun to play.
3) Dervish -- The best dance in the game, multiple hits per swing (And my sword doesn't do this why?), and the ability to borow a little god-power. Kewlness incarnate, if, sadly, an inevitable target for a nerf bat beating so bad she'll spend the rest of her life in ICU.
Honorable mention : Warrior -- You never realize how badly skewed this game is towards physicals in general and warriors in particular until you play a warrior after having only played casters. Still doesn't make them fun to play, though, at least not to me, but it is instructive.

1. Mesmer by far - I love having the ability to weaken my opponents capabilities while inflicting damage on them, turning their strengths into weaknesses, and generally disrupting their efforts to kill me and my party!
2. Warrior - Sometimes jumping into the middle of the fray is just the thing.
3. Ranger - I love the variety of ways you can play a ranger. Traps, Interrupts, beastmaster, and all that good stuff. Plus I have a lot of fun doing Tombs runs.

1. Assassin:
Since day one of computer gaming, I was a fan of sneaking around in games. Allways striking from an unexpected angle, allways outsmarting your enemy. This will never be possible in GuildWars (due to Minimaps, small and easy to overview Maps, Auto Targetting, etc). But the Assassin with his superior movement skills comes close to it.
2. Monk:
I sometimes enjoy leaning back and playing the easy monk class. It's something I do when I want to relax. I usually fade into a semi concious state on my monk, reacting entirely on instict and reflexes. Dunno why it is like that with the monk, especially as I sometimes notice just how stressfull the class can be when I somehow fail to achieve that state.
3. Dervish:
Simply because I expect lots to come for this class. It has potential and plays just "right" (beside it being utterly overpowered - still).
